Forensic Animation is a technically accurate computer-generated visualization of a complex event. A series of still images are displayed in rapid succession and gives the illusion of vehicle motion.
Generally, there are 3 types of animation: Demonstrative, Simulation, and Tutorial. Demonstrative animations visualize the expert’s opinion. Simulation animations visualize “what if” scenarios based on hypothetical situations. Lastly, tutorial animations are intended to instruct or educate the jury on a specific process or scientific principle.
